Changshu Polyester Co., Ltd. was founded in 1983. In 1986, it jointly developed high strength and low elongation polyester filament with Shanghai Synthetic Fiber Institute, which has filled the domestic gap. The products are widely used in the field of wire belt rope net and so on. The company has carried out industry-university-research cooperation with Hefei Institute of Solid State Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Donghua University, Soochow University, etc., jointly undertaken the national "863" science and technology project and independently undertaken the Jiangsu Province science and technology project, and has achieved a number of scientific research achievements. Changshu Polyester Co., Ltd. is the "National Torch Plan Changshu polymer new material industry base backbone enterprise", in 2007 to undertake the national and provincial "High strength and low shrinkage polyester industrial silk (fine dener) torch plan science and technology project", the same year by the Torch Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology awarded the "National Key high-tech Enterprise". In 2018 and 2021, it was rated as a high-tech enterprise by Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Department. In 2017, it was awarded the "Little Giant" enterprise of Changshu City, and in 2021, the polyester fine denier industrial silk was awarded the "special, fine and new" product of Jiangsu Province.
